Youth Job Center has two programs, one for high schoolers and one for young adults out of school. We place a full-time staffer at area high schools to help youth explore career paths, build resumes, prepare for interviews, and land positive first jobs. This work is preventative too. By making post-secondary plans that can include 4-year University, Community College, trade schools or employment, we're preventing youth from becoming disconnected from work and school after graduation. For out of school youth, our goal is career-advancing job placement in a high-growth industry. Sometimes there are barriers to overcome, such as homelessness or criminal backgrounds. We partner with other nonprofits to address these, and we follow a client even after job placement to ensure they are on the path to success.
