About Charity

Athena Racing is an award-winning STEM education program, a 501c3 non-profit public charity that provides free training, mentorship and pre-internship opportunities to young ladies in middle school and high school who are interested in pursuing careers in engineering, design, business, technology, and robotics in the automotive, motorsports and transportation industries. We provide a safe space for young ladies to be surrounded by like-minded female students to learn essential life skills and explore different transportation-related career paths. Additionally, they learn to apply design thinking (empathize, define, ideate, prototype, test) to all aspects of life in an environment where they are encouraged to learn, to fail, and to persevere. Our team consists of board members coming from various backgrounds and skill sets, a student advisory board just as diverse, and volunteers who are the force growing this brand into what it is -- a nationally-known program supporting young women in growing into a career where they can change the status quo. Our enthusiasm is contagious, the press loves us, the educators applaud us, and the connections are plentiful, making it easier to connect our Athenians professionally.
