A Los Angeles–based nonprofit, CAST is one of the pioneers of the US anti-trafficking movement. The organization was founded in 1998 by a group of community activists that realized something needed to be done to address the re-emergence of slavery in our own backyards. CAST has identified and provided direct services to over 1,500 survivors and their family members, and are the largest comprehensive, survivor-centered direct service provider in the country. CAST is an internationally recognized leader and go-to resource for the media, policymakers, law enforcement and philanthropic community to access information about modern slavery.
